7w4d and a strong heartbeat

Miscarriage takes away all ignorance is bliss feelings and replaces with worry and dread. I couldn't sleep the entire night prior to my ultrasound. What if the heartbeat had stopped or wasn't strong enough? I always need to prepare myself for the worse.

However, I am measuring 2 days ahead at 7w6d and baby has an awesome heartbeat of 170bpm!!!

RELIEVED AND EXCITED!

Also, Tristan put two and two together. He seemed off when we got back from walking the dogs and during movie night, he asked if he could talk to me when the movie was over. I told him if it was important, we could pause the movie and talk then and there. He said he found baby pictures (ultrasound photos) in the study, noticed I was tired all the time and that Nick was giving me shots again. He asked if I was having a baby and I told him yes. He was upset that we didn't tell him, but I told him we were waiting a few more weeks. He is excited to be a big brother and I gave him the big brother tshirt that I was saving for when we told him. And funny enough, he was like, "Mom, we all knew this would happen eventually." hahah.
