Dr Yeh was on vacation, so Dr Griffin handled the procedure for him.
I needed to arrive at 9am for the 10am transfer. However, it was delayed by over 35 minutes. After drinking 2 bottles of water, my bladder was about to burst!
Dr Griffin was great as he really talked through the whole procedure even though this was our second time. Getting the catheter into my uterus is difficult because I have a uniquely shaped entrance that has three curves to it. Most women have a straight entrance. The doctor and nurses were excited to see this and tackle the challenge my body gave them. It was uncomfortable, but bearable. Again, we got to see that flash of light that is so magical as the embryo, baby girl #6 was inserted into me.
When I was done, I headed over to Balance Houston for acupuncture with Stephen.
Things that were done differently this cycle:
1. Added another patch of estrogen
2. Added baby aspirin
3. Endometrial scratch
4. Acupuncture after FET instead of before (this was mostly due to timing)
5. No walking the dogs during the 3 days of modified bed rest
So far, the only symptoms that I have had is frequent urination last night. I had this the last time as well. I had cramping a week leading up to the FET, so if I do have any cramping I know to attribute that to all the hormones that I am on.
We are so hopeful this time works! I hope our daughter knows how much we love her even before she is here. Call me silly, but I am already buying stuff for baby girl. I have bought books, outfits, blankets EVEN a PBK rocker and chandelier for the nursery!
I just can't wait to be the mom to a little girl. Godspeed little embryo, may the odds be ever in your favor!
